My rabbit ate something. Her stools are discolored. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | spayed | 9 months and 18 days old | 3.5 lbs

My rabbit (who is acting normally) may have ingested banana skin and orange peel and other stuff I wouldn't know about and had grey stools for a few days. She was eating and drinking as usual so I'm not sure I'd I should be concerned or not. But is the discoloured stools something to be worried for?

Discolored stool can definitely be concerning in rabbits as it may an be a sign of dehydration or intestinal disease. As long as Mistie is eating and drinking normally, urinating regularly, and her stools are well formed, you can keep a close eye on her for any changes. Whatever she ate should pass through her intestinal tract within about two days or so. If you think she is not acting like herself, she should be seen by a vet as soon as possible. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you have!
