My dog is limping on a front leg but still walking. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | spayed | 4 years and 5 months old | 42 lbs

I’ve come home from work to find my dog limping on her front leg, she’s bearing weight on it but limps when she walks but was fine on her morning walks ?

It certainly isn’t wrong to have her looked at right away to make sure there is no fracture or infection or something that needs to be dealt with ASAP. However, resting for a day to see if she improves a bit and then having her seen is appropriate as well. Regardless, I would keep her confined to a small area or room so she doesn’t damage it more.
