Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 5 months old | 100 lbs
I come home after being gone about 45 min. & my 3yr old rottweiler Bella didn't greet me at the door & I noticed her walking slow & different like she was hurt. Her hind legs were shaking and she was whining for as long as she stood. She has been laying down since. she will wag her tail, move around on the floor but wont move her hind legs. She can stand up but it hurts her & she immediately starts shaking and whining, so she lays back down. I don't have the funds to take her in tonight, help..

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bella! I would just let her rest tonight if you can't bring her to the Vet. I do not recommend giving her any human OTC pain medications because they will likely interfere with what your Vet may want to prescribe in the morning. If Bella has a bloated abdomen or starts trying to vomit but doesn't produce anything that is an Emergency and can not wait until the morning. Possible causes are: Lyme disease affecting her joints or an immune condition affecting her joints. She could have strain or sprain her muscle, bones, or cruciate ligaments or hurt her back. You can try to take her temperature but if you can't take her to an Emergency hospital that information won't change what you can do at home. I hope this helps and I wish Bella a speedy recovery!
