My puppy has a non-tender, semi-firm jaw lump. Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 6 days old | 20 lbs

My 5 month old Aussie has a swollen area under his jaw on the right side. Non tender and semi firm. Just came up. Eating, drinking and playing normally

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If only on one side, this could be due to an abscess for example. I recommend that you have Doc evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If this is confirmed to be an abscess, they may drain it and then prescribe antibiotics. Good luck!
