Do Petco vets need my dog's records for an exam? What's the cost?

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! We are not afflicted with a particular Veterinary Hospital. Prices vary by region. On average a Vet exam costs around $40-$50 and each vaccine is about $25-$30. The bare minimum vaccinations would be a DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) and Rabies. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately, there are no veterinary clinics located in Petco stores in your area - yet. You can get vaccinations done at Vetco vaccination clinics, as well as heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Be sure you get Tars in before he is 6 months of age, and he won't need a heartworm test. He should also be dewormed against intestinal parasites. Prices vary everywhere so I would just call the clinic you are planning on going to and they should be able to give you prices over the phone for the cost of an exam and vaccines or it may be on their website.

Petco does offer exams for puppies, just call your local Petco to make an appointment with the veterinary clinic. I think it's an excellent idea you do a vet check before purchasing, that is extremely responsible ownership! A microchip typically costs around $45-$80. Speak to the clinic to get an exact price. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would call your local PetCo that offers VetCo to see if they will do this type of exam. Mist vaccine clinics only do vaccines and not exams or provide records past vaccinations. I would recommend that you find an established Vet for Piper. Yes you can bring him to a VetCo clinic for vaccinations, a check up and microchipping if you like. The vet should have a health record of the dog.
