I found this Shiney black dot on my ferret next to his genitals. It appears to be really red and irritated around the black dot. I don't know if it's a tick or something else. Couldn't really get a clear picture.

I see the small bump you are referring to - it is definitely suspicious of a tick, especially if Bear is going outside. It may also be a small wound or a localized skin infection, but I'm unable to tell what it is from the photo, unfortunately. I recommend having Bear seen by a vet, especially because this looks very suspicious of a tick, which should be removed as soon as possible. Ticks can also transmit diseases, so your vet may recommend some prophylactic treatment. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you may have!
