It is really not recommended that you feed your rabbit waffles. They are not good for them. There are much better treats she could have. Seeds are very high in fat and oils and are a safe component to a healthy rabbbit diet. Some seed types can be fed as treats, but would be the equivalent of eating candy for a rabbit so it's not best practice to do this.

Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. Bunnies can get lots of leafy greens (kale, lettuce, bok choy, broccoli), and other treats like carrots, apples, banana, oranges, mandarins, grapes . 75% should be hay, 20% should be greens, and 5% should be treats. Best of luck with your rabbit.

It shouldn't kill her, but it may cause stomach upset. Make sure she continues to eat and drink over the next couple days. Offer as much timothy hay, oat hay or similar grasses as she will eat. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite or loose droppings. If she stops eating, have her seen by your veterinarian right away. Discontinue any treats for the next few days.

Hi Jaime! There are a lot of fruits and veggies that are safe for rabbits. Leafy greens, like kale, parsley, and cilantro should make up the bulk of their non-pellet, non-hay treats, but fruits in moderation can be great for them, too. Bits of apple, strawberry, pear, papaya, mango, banana, and apricots are good choices. Make sure that they are washed well, and that they don't encompass more than 5-10% of your rabbits' diet. Avoid avocado, all seeds and pits, and wild fruits and veggies. Good luck!

Alfalfa is too rich in calcium for long term use and can increase the risk of kidney or bladder stones, or calcium sludge. The higher protein content could also provide more stress to the function of the kidneys. Continue to transition. She will eat it if she is hungry enough. Good luck.

Peanuts are great treats, but they are fatty and can lead to obesity. Try to limit them, if possible. Boomer can eat pretty much anything that you eat with a few exceptions. Do not feed chocolate, avocado, caffeine or anything with alcohol. She can eat grapes, blueberries, strawberries, pitted cherries, banana, pineapple and apple (no seeds). Limit fruit to no more than 10% of the diet. Too much may cause loose droppings. Acceptable vegetable include corn, peas, green beans, other cooked beans, potatoes (cooked), broccoli, zucchini, kale and sweet potato. She can have cooked grains and cooked plain pastas. Scrambled egg makes a great weekend treat. This list is by no means all inclusive. Other lists can be found online using the search engine of your choosing.

Hello there! There is no real need to feed pellets to rabbits. We generally recommend that rabbits eat no more than a tablespoon of pellets per day. They are high in calories which makes for a good treat and training reward, but certainly not a vital part of nutrition. A healthy rabbit's diet should consist of 80% hay (Oaten and Timothy are good choices), as much leafy greens as they would like in a day, and occasional fresh fruit. I hope this helps!
