If your dog does have diabetes, he will likely require daily injections of insulin. Treatment depends on the severity of the symptoms, lab results, and if he has any other concurrent health issues; for example, dogs who are seriously ill when first diagnosed will require intensive hospital care to stabilize their blood surgery. That may not be the case with your dog, but it's very important that he is seen by a vet first thing it the morning to prevent him from becoming serious ill.
