Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
My cat has had a fairly large lump on his tail for at least a year. Now i am noticing at least two more smaller lumps and there may even be a tiny one forming just above the base of his tail. The lumps are pretty much solid don't seem to oozing or anything. He does not seem to be in pain. How concerned should I be about this?

Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. These lumps on Tien Tien could be caused by lipomas (benign fatty tumors), cysts, benign tumors, or malignant tumors. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. I would take him into the vet tomorrow for an exam.
