New puppy sick: diarrhea, vomiting, won't eat. When to see vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 23 days old

New puppy (8wks) had 1st course of vaccs, gets 2nd course on Thursday. I dewormed him yesterday and started on new wet puppy food. Last night he had diarrhea. Not bloody, normal color, smelly, like watered down thin pudding. He regurgitated food from last night 2x this morn. He won't take kibble or water. Should I wait and see how he is once his stomach is calm and take him in Thurs as planned or take him to the vet immediately? It wasnt bloody or bile vomit like parvo but still worried.

It Seems as Cu is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. the vaccination might need to be reschedule to a later date if he is still not well by then.
