What's wrong with my senior cat? Vomiting, sneezing, low energy.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | neutered | 8 years and 4 months old | 14 lbs

My 15 year old male cat has been vomiting & regurgitating on & off for a few weeks now. He also sneezes occasionally & it’s runny & nasty. My daughter felt his abdomen & it feels hard. He doesn’t like to be picked up anymore. His energy level is low but still jumps on the bed occasionally. He also has occasional diarrhea.

I am sorry Caboo is not feeling well, I would recommend taking him to a vet for a good physical exam and some basic blood work. In the older pets we do get concerned about hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, dental disease and even infection. IT is important for her to have an exam and some testing to help determine the cause of the vomiting and help provide proper treatment. Hope he feels better soon!
