My dog died with a swollen stomach, not peeing or pooping. Why?

My dog died because it wasnt passing urine or pooping. Her stomach grew big like she was pregnant. We actually thought she was pregnant. What could have caused the problem?

I am sorry to hear of your loss but there is no way to determine the underlying cause without a post mortem exam. Liver, heart or kidney disease, tumours, pregnancy or womb infection and twisted internal organs can all cause similar symptoms but there would be no way to tell without an autopsy
