My hamster is limping and in pain. Can I give her OTC pain meds?

Hi, my 2 y/o russian hamster isn't using her right back leg since yesterday. I don't see any exposed fracture and didn't got any reaction when I touched to compare both legs but she's clearly in pain since she was looking so poorly yesterday and today started to walk "funny" around but without using that leg. Can I buy an anti inflammatory/pain killer and keep a close eye on her? I cant afford another vet bill right now. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to Carol. Unfortunately, you will not be able to find anything over the counter that is safe to give a hamster. I would be worried at 2 years old that she has developed a tumor in the spinal cord or some other serious injury. I think a vet visit would be your best option. The doctor can give you an honest opinion as to her condition. I hope this helps. Please post any additional questions you may have.
