Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 8 years and 10 months old | 120 lbs
My 9 year old 120lb shepherd Mix is displaying some difficulty breathing. He does sneeze but I haven't noticed runny eyes or coughing. I did notice today that he has a greyish brown discharge in both nostrils. I used a tissue to wipe his nose and also saw some blood (very little). This is both nostrils. He is eating and drinking and does not display signs of feeling poorly - just raspy breathing. Should I take him to the vet or treat at home with humidifier or diffusing essential oils?

It sounds like he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can take an xray of his chest, if needed, to evaluate his lungs and then determine the best way to treat. He could have an infection and need an antibiotic, bronchodilator, and/or other medications to help treat.
