Why does my dog have bloody diarrhea and gas but seems okay?

Our 1 yr old pup has had diarrhea with occasional blood for almost a week now. His gas is awful and is one right after another. He is still full of energy, eats his meals and seems super happy. Should we be scared?! :(. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 55 lbs

Anytime there is blood in the stool it is recommended to see a vet. The fact he is eating and drinking normally and playful is a very good sign it is not any serious. It may all be from the food as some need a different ingredient or different brand as they can digest it better. Your vet will check for parasites and an infection to make sure everything else is ok
