What other vaccines does my puppy need after first parvo shot?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 9 days old | 20 lbs

Our puppy got her first round of her parvo shots and is going to receive her second in 3 weeks. Is there any other vaccinations she needs currently or in the near future?

When she goes back for her second round is when I recommend to give her the 1st bordetella vaccine. This is for upper respiratory infections. She should receive a distemper/parvo vaccine every 3 weeks until she is 15-16 weeks old, 2 bordetella vaccines starting around 9 weeks old, and a rabies vaccine no earlier than 12 weeks old. I hope this helps!

Charles needs to get vaccines every 3 weeks with the final set being at or after 16 weeks of age. All puppies need Distemper-Parvo vaccines, Rabies and Bordetella. Depending on where you live, Leptospirosis and Lyme vaccines may also be recommended. Do not take him out to public areas until he is fully vaccinated to avoid exposure to parvo. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
