If Ashley is not spayed, she may be having a false pregnancy. I have attached a link wtih more information below. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1896 This is very common in intact female dogs. The important thing when they lactate during a false pregnancy is to avoid simulating the mammary glands in any way so the lactation stops more quickly. I hope that was helpful. Most likely she is pregnant, but it's also possible that she is having a false pregnancy. If her belly is also bigger than normal, then this would help confirm that she is pregnant. The best way to confirm the pregnancy and get an idea about her due-date would be to have a veterinarian evaluate her. It's also possible that the pregnancy can be terminated if you are not prepared to take care of puppies. I hope that helps and all is well with Luna.

Milk let-down an indicate either pregnancy or a false pregnancy scenario. If she also has a distended belly and increased appetite, and subsequently was around a male dog within the last 2 months, then she very likely is pregnant. However, if she hasn't gained any weight and belly is normal size, with no increase in appetite then chances are she is having a false pregnancy. Usually pets don't require any treatment for this phenomenon and the mammary glands will resolve within 2-3 weeks time. However, if things don't resolve, then its best to visit your local vet for further treatment. Here is more information on this condition for your convenience. Best of luck with your pet Yaba. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1896
