My kitten only eats chicken. How can I get him to eat balanced cat food?

Hi! What kind of meats contain enough protein for kittens? Also how do I get him to eat cat food? He won't eat it and simply prefers chicken ONLY. However I tend to bottle him the cat food because that's the only way he'll it.

Chicken, beef, fish and any of the other major meats would be adequate protein sources for your kitten. You should continue trying to encourage your kitten to eat kitten food because it is more complete and balanced than just chicken alone. Try differ flavors of food with different textures (dry, pate, chunks with gravy) until you find one you cat will eat. I would also recommend that you stop offering her chicken because she will just keep refusing food until you give her the chicken. Or you could try adding chicken to the food to encourage her to eat it. You may also want to check out the website balanceit.com. There you will find home cooking recipes for complete and balanced diets for pets. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
