Why is my dog drinking a lot and having accidents? Is it diabetes?

One of my dogs is 4 years old, hound Shepard mix, although in the past year he has gotten very gray and looks older. He's drinking alot, smacking his lips, and started having accidents in the house. I had a diabetic dog years ago and this has me wondering if he could be diabetic. He also has high anxiety but has my other dog to play with and isn't alone for more than a few hours. Any ideas? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 75 lbs

4 is young for diabetes but it is definitely a possibility with those symptoms. A urinary tract infection or kidney infection or bladder stones can cause the same symptoms. The only way to know is to have your vet check a urine and blood sample to check the levels for an answer.
