My dog ate raw meat and threw up. What home remedies can I try?

Hi someone gave my dog raw meat he threw up four times ate some grass and drank water atm he's not vomiting but sitting quietly

Poor Dobby! It sounds like the raw meat has upset his stomach, and I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. In the future, I would refrain from allowing anyone to give him raw meat. Good luck, I hope this helps!

It could be that the bone has upset Bullseye's stomach leading him to vomit. I never recommend giving bones to dogs because of the risk of broken teeth and intestinal obstruction. Poor San! He could have vomited due to a GI illness, eating something rotten, a sudden change in diet, being given food he's never had before, intestinal worms, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I would monitor your dog for now and try a home remedy to see if that helps with the vomiting. Sometimes, a dog will have a GI illness and it can be treated without having to take him to the vet. If the home remedy doesn't work, then the dog likely has a more serious illness, like eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis, and then your dog should see a vet. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.
