You should begin to see some improvement in symptoms after a few days IF the bacteria responsible is sensitive to the antibiotic. Ideally, a sterile urine sample should be collected and submitted for urinalysis and a urine culture/sensitivity panel. This second test should be able to identify the organism responsible as well as the most effective antibiotic to use in treatment.

Without knowing how long she's been on the meds, it would be hard to say. In most cases, you will start to see symptoms resolving in a few days, however it is always best to give the entire course of antibiotics to ensure the infection is completely cleared up. In some cases, a second round of meds or switching to a prescription urinary diet may also be needed to help resolve urinary issues fully. I would follow up with your vet when the meds are complete, or if you're not seeing any improvement in symptoms at all after a few days.
