Puppy diarrhea after new food, but still active. What should I do?

My 16 week old lab pup has diarrhea. She is still eating and drinking water and is still full if energy. Think it might be new food. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 8 days old

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This can certainly be due to dietary indiscretion in which case it should get better by discontinuing whatever upset her belly. However, this could also be other things such as intestinal parasites or even a gastrointestinal infection such as parvovirus. Start her on a bland diet mainly composed of boiled chicken and white rice for the next 2-3 days. If no improvement, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
