My dog is vomiting, has diarrhea, and straining. When to see vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Blue Heeler | Female | spayed | 4 years and 9 months old | 42 lbs

My dog has been sick for two or three days, puked a huge amount of grass and food three days ago, OK yesterday, diarrhea this morning now straining not pooping. When do I take her to vet?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The clinical signs you describe are concerning as they can be seen with gastrointestinal infections. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Zaffer evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they address dehydration if present and start her on anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your girl!
