Why does my dog have hard lumps on his paw toes? Are they corns?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 1 year and 6 months old | 22 lbs

My dog has got hard lumps on his 2 front paws on the same toe. Similar to when a human has a really dry hard section on the foot is this normal and ok?

I think what you may be seeing is corn on the pad of Prince's foot. I would recommend that you have this evaluated by a vet. Corns can be painful and cause significant irritation. If the vet agrees it is a corn, they may recommend sedation or anesthesia to remove the corn.
