What's causing my puppy's painful red paw bump and how to treat it?

My puppy has a small red boil type potrusion in right paw. It is hurting him when I touch it. Please tell me what is it and it's cure!!!

It is hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it may be either a bug bite or an abscess. I would recommend soaking the paw in a warm Epsom salt bath daily. Beyond that you really can't do anything topically to help much with either of these conditions and oral medication over the counter isn't safe for pets. I would continue to monitor it for the next 24 hrs to see if it gets any better or worse. If it seems too painful, then a vet visit is needed to have your vet prescribe safe pet friendly anti-inflammatory/pain medication and antibiotics (if this is an abscess). Drainage is needed also if this is an abscess, which often is done with the a mild sedative. I hope that Cooper feels better soon. Best wishes and take care.
