It sounds like poor Spawn is very uncomfortable at the moment! The flea collar could be the cause of his skin problems around his neck. They frequently cause skin reactions, and are not the best things to use to treat fleas. In addition, he could still be suffering from fleas because flea collars also aren't very effective. You did the right thing by treating the house, and I will give you a flea treatment program for Spawn. I would remove the flea collar, and then give him Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas in 30 minutes. I would follow that up with an oral flea treatment pill called Comfortis. Normally I recommend a spot on treatment, but given his skin problems around his neck, that needs to heal first before giving him a spot on treatment. I would also have him seen by a vet. He could have developed a flea allergy from the fleas, and he may need medication to treat it and his skin. I would take him into the vet first thing in the morning. I hope this helps!
