Is my young cat pregnant? Is it dangerous for her to have kittens?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Egyptian Mau | Male | neutered | 5 months and 11 days old | 5.7 lbs

My neighbours 5-6 month old cat is often coming to stay with my male cat so I keep her as my cat. (She is a little scared to stay inside my house) She eats a lot of food and her belly seems big, so I think she is pregnant. But I cannot afford an abortion for her.She is very young so is it dangerous for her to have kittens? Will she be ok??

Yes, it can be dangerous for her to be pregnant that young. There is no way for me to tell you if she is going to be OK or not. She really needs to get spayed as soon as possible because if she is pregnant, she can get pregnant again almost immediately after giving birth and then there will be even more kittens. Please find a way to get her spayed as soon as possible.
