My cat with an amputated leg pees on herself. Is this normal? How to help?

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

I just adopted a cat that has her left rear leg amputated. I noticed that when she goes to the bathroom, she sits down and gets pee on herself. I cleaned her up with soft tissues and cold water because I know she can get urine burns from her acidic pee if it isnt cleaned off. Im going to get some pet wipes tomorrow from a pet store. I wanted to know if this is normal for her to sit down like that when she goes to the bathroom. Is there anything I can do to change that and is what Im doing good?

With one leg missing she might have some problem finding her balance while urinating, i am assuming that is the amputation was done recently she will be able to correct this problem in the future, in the meantime just continue doing what you are doing, by cleaning her in that area you will avoid any complications.
