My one yr old stray kitty was spayed yesterday Lastnight we confined her to one room in our house she jumped on the bed so fast and fell off and landed on her back. She seems ok but very sleepy. Do you think that hurt her? She was very hyper yesterday we had to put her in a cage becauseheractionShe has a cone around her head and cant eat or drink from her dish.I been trying to put food on a spoon, she is not going for it and has barely had a drip of water. They said she needs to wear it two weeks .

She is probably a little sore from the surgery and falling off the bed. She needs to rest and sleep so she can recover more quickly. When you are with Kitty you can remove the cone so she can eat and drink. Just make sure she isn't licking the incision. I would do this four times a day so she can get her food and water. After a few days they usually figure out how to eat with the cone on. Often the incision will heal in a week so you can remove the cone when the incision is healed. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Kitty.
