My cat has fleas. How long to wait between Hartz and Advantage II?

I have a seven year old female tabby cat. She has fleas and I gave her Hartz Ultraguard Topical medicine. I noticed that it wasn’t working and she was still itching. So I tried a Hartz flea collar because it was recommended by my friend and she said it worked for her cat. The collar didn’t work for my cat. I bought bayers advantage ii, and I was wondering how long should I wait to put it on her so she won’t get sick from too much medicine? And if Bayers Advantage is a good brand to use on her?

Fleas collars do not typically work well. Hartz is not as strong as most other flea medicines and tend to have the most reactions. Advantage is great one that is monthly, Bravecto is another great one and it will last for 3 months but requiers a prescription. I would wait at least 2 weeks in between the topicals for her safety and the flea collar does not matter for timing of products.
