Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 2 lbs

Found a cat in the road it has small wounds on its back leg and has pusslike substance coming from them. The paw is also swollen. Im unable to afford to take it to the vet till I get paid. Im will adopting this little one if everything goes well at the local vet on Friday. But I need to know what can I do for this little one till then?

Clean the wounds with soap and water. You want to get the pus out and get as much dirt and debris out as you can. Good nutrition can go along way with injured kittens also so make sure it is eating well. Since the feet are injured it is best to keep the kitten confined so she won't try to jump and injury herself more. This is all you can do until you get her checked by a vet
