Does a baby kitten that just lost an eye require stitches or does it heal on it own

It's possible for it to heal on its own, but there is a big risk of infection that could affect the brain, so its best to have a vet check it out. They will ensure its cleaned-out and closed appropriately. They may also prescribe antibiotics if there are already signs of infection. I hope that helps and the kitten gets better soon.
