My dog has yellow, foul-smelling diarrhea but acts normal. Vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 13 days old | 17 lbs

I feed my pitbull a raw diet mostly turkey, about a week and half ago he got into some neosporin and ate the whole tube acted fine for a few day so I don’t think that was a problem. A couple days later he got yellowish foul smelling diarrhea and has had it ever since. Acting normal And eating normal and gaining weight normal. He also takes a pre/ probiotic soft chew. Wondering if I need to take him to the vet ASAP?

Given that Duke has had diarrhea for a couple of days now, yes I would take him into a vet. Because he is acting normal, eating normally, and gaining weight, I wouldn't rush him into an ER vet. See if you can find a vet open for normal business hours on Sunday, or take him into the vet first thing Monday. Do rush him into a vet asap if he stops eating, becomes lethargic, starts vomiting, you see blood in his feces, and/or stops drinking water. I hope this helps!
