Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 3 years and 10 months old | 8 lbs

Hi, Ive noticed my dog is very itchy. Ive checked her skin and seen a lottle dandruff. She has pink skin and we’ve tried an oatmeal based shampoo. At first it seemed to work but then after that it doesnt work as well. She has no bites or fleas and ive been feeding her this food for a couple months and wasnt this itchy when we first gave it to her. How can i help her so she isnt always itching? Thankyou.

The most common reasons for itchy skin are allergies. The most common type of allergies are food, environment or even flea. Even though you are not seeing fleas I would recommend applying flea prevention every 30 days. Also, I would recommend consulting your vet about the itchy skin to help determine if food or environmental is the issue. With a food allergy it is important that Dove goes on a prescription food for 12 plus weeks to determine if food is the actual problem. You can try adding an over the counter anti histamine to help decrease the itchy skin. Hope that helps
