My cat licked minoxidil off my hand. Should I worry about him?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 11 lbs

Hi, I applied minoxidil to my scalp and washed my hands thoroughly with soap after. I felt an itch on my scalp so I scratched it slightly with my finger, and as I was not near a sink I just wiped my finger on my shirt. Later I pet my cat with the same hand and he licked my fingers. I did not remember that I touched my scalp and now I am worried sick. Is my cat going to be okay? It is late at night and I cannot take him to a vet. I can take him in the morning, or am i worrying too much?

I think you are worrying too much. When gets lick a toxic substance they almost always start drooling and foaming at the mouth. If he didn't do that then he likely didn't get enough or any at all in his mouth. Just monitor him for now and if he starts acting sick then I would get him to your vet for an exam. Best wishes.
