Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 11 months old | 13 lbs
Hi, I noticed this bump on my 2 year old, female cats lip yesterday. It's definitely larger today than it was yesterday. I was just unsure if I should make an appointment with the vet soon, or wait to see if it resolves by itself? I also have 2 other cats, I was also unsure if this could be contagious? Thank you!

Hello, & thank you or using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Unfortunately your picture did not come through, but I would not be too concerned if the bump just showed up. It may be a reaction to a bite if your cat hunts, or it might be an allergic reaction to something. In a young cat, it is very unlikely to be very serious or contagious. If your cat is eating well & does not seem too bothered by it, then give it a couple of days to see if it goes down. Of course, if you are at all concerned, see your vet at your earliest convenience. Take care.
