My dog is shivering and is breathing heavily,,, she also feels warm, does that mean she has fever? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 13 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lexi! Breathing heavily and shivering could be from a fever or pain. Anytime an owner mentions abnormal breathing I recommend seeing a Veterinarian as soon as possible. You can take her temperature with a digital thermometer if would like. Dogs are warmer than us, normal temperature is between 100-102. I would say anything 103 or over is a fever. Even if her temperature is normal I recommend you have her seen today by your Vet.
