My dog is shivering, breathing fast, and warm. Does she have a fever?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 13 lbs

My dog is shivering and is breathing heavily,,, she also feels warm, does that mean she has fever?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lexi! Breathing heavily and shivering could be from a fever or pain. Anytime an owner mentions abnormal breathing I recommend seeing a Veterinarian as soon as possible. You can take her temperature with a digital thermometer if would like. Dogs are warmer than us, normal temperature is between 100-102. I would say anything 103 or over is a fever. Even if her temperature is normal I recommend you have her seen today by your Vet.
