My puppy has constant diarrhea after deworming. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | 13 lbs

I have a 13 week old puppy almost fully vaccinated, he has been de wormed. He has had constant diarrhea since we got him.

There are other parasites that can cause diarrhea that are not killed with the routine dewormers. I would recommend a full fecal exam with your veterinarian to see if there is a different medication that may be helpful. Sometimes probiotics and a bland diet may be helpful as well.

    If he still has diarrhea after everything that you have tried than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He could have Giardia or Coccidia which are not treated with a regular dewormer. They both require a specific medication to treat and your vet can test a stool sample to look for all parasites and prescribe medications to help clear up the diarrhea. Adding a probiotic, like Fortilora or Proviavble, may help, too.
