Is bloody discharge from my 4-month-old male cat's genitals normal?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 3 months and 5 days old | 0.4 lbs

My cat is male and 4 months old and unspayed.today he was sleeping next to me when seddenly some blood-water came out of his genital area.is it normal?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If he was startled it could have been fluid from his anal glands. The glands are situated inside the rectum and they have fluid that is released when they have a bowel movement or when they are scared. If there was bright red blood I would be concerned they are infected. If it was dark brown, it is normal contents. I hope this helps. Kisses to Suga!
