My kitten is vomiting, immobile, not eating, seizure-like. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 28 days old | 1lb

I have a kitten who is a little over a month old and suddenly began having seizure like reactions? I'm not completely sure if it is a seizure but she's also puking and immobile. I'm extremely concerned about her but I don't know what to do, she's not eating either.

Hi and thanks for your post on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If you could get her attention and she seemed conscious during the episode, it was not a seizure. Extreme lethargy can cause her not to move very much and appear immobile. The vomiting could be causing low electrolytes and glucose which can definately cause lethargy in very young and small animals. It can also dehydrate them very quickly which can also cause lethargy. If she is vomiting, lethargic, and not eating, I would take her into see her emergency veterinarian right away. It is hard to say what Aries has without examining her first but at her age it could be a bacterial or viral infection causing the symptoms. I hope you are able to take her in soon. Best of luck to you and Aries!
