Cocker spaniel breeding in first season My cocker spaniel female is 8 months old and has started to bleed a week ago. Recently I noticed my male dog is taking too much of interest on the female and I want to stop the first time breeding as she's still too small. What to do.. As they are always together. No contact at all, Keep them in separate rooms at all times, which means feeding them in these rooms. Take them out to potty separately.
