My cat's anus is swollen and he hasn't pooped. Is he constipated?

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese

I think my male cat's anus is swollen. I scoop his litter box everyday & noticed there wasn't any poop in his box. A couple of weeks ago, he drug his butt around my apt but I was able to remove the poop from his anus. Things seemed to clear up until recently when I noticed his anus was swollen & lack of poop in his box.

Ollie may need to go to your veterinarian for an enema to relieve the constipation. This can become a chronic problem so it's important to get Ollie's stool emptied completely soon. I recommend that you feed plain canned pumpkin, about one tablespoon twice daily, to prevent constipation in the future. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Ollie.
