I'm sorry Remy is painful! I would rest her today until you can get to the veterinarian tomorrow. She may have simply pulled a muscle or got a paw pad injury on her walk. However, she could have injured her hip, ACL or she could have a luxating patella (knee cap). Your veterinarian can do an examination and determine what kind of injury she may have. For today I think you are okay to rest and monitor her. If she stops eating, is acting lethargic or seems to be in significant pain I would try to get her to a veterinarian sooner. Please remember there are no safe over the counter pain medications for dogs so your veterinarian will need to prescribe pain meds. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and I hope Remy is feeling better soon!
