My cat has a red circle with grey bumps on its skin. What is it?

Cat has a large red circle with grey bumps in middle. Pictures attached. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 10 lbs

It is difficult to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the red area is raised which makes me worry that it is a mass. I would recommend having your veterinarian evaluate it. They will likely take a small sample of cells with a needle and evaluate it under the microscope to determine what it is and what to do about it.
