Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 8 lbs

I have noticed within the past month chicos stomach has made gurgling noises at least once a week and he wont even eat anything when it happens and he eats grass when i take him out. Could it be his food? It dose not seem to cause him pain though

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I'm sorry to hear Chico has periods where he isn't feeling well. When dogs eat grass, it is typically a sign of nausea and stomach upset. This can be from a variety of causes, including reflux, dietary indiscretion, food intolerance, or an underlying medical issue such as inflammatory bowel disease. I would recommend Chico be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine what may be causing these episodes, and if any treatment may be needed. Good luck!
