My cat's ear is inflamed. Should I take her to the vet immediately?

Yes I would bring Miu to your veterinarian for treatment in the next few days. She may have an ear infection and the inflammation is from scratching. They will look into the ear and take a swab of the ear discharge to see if there is a bacterial or yeast infection or ear mites. If so then they can prescribe the appropriate medication. They will also check the ear flap and see if that area needs treatment. In addition medication may be recommended to control scratching if that is going on. Since the ear has inflammation I'm sure it's uncomfortable so getting treatment soon will be best for Miu.
