My 6-month Golden has vomiting, diarrhea, very low platelets. What to do?

my golden retriever is 6 months old. he is vomiting since 3 days and also has diarrhoea. we did the blood report and his wbc and platelets count are very low. his platelets count in 13000. what is he having? what should i do?

Sorry that your puppy is sick. If he hasn't been tested for Parvo virus than he should be tested. He should be hosptialized and put on IV fluids and given medications to treat the vomiting/diarrhea and an antibiotic to prevent bacterial infections. Your vet could also test him for tick borne diseases which can cause decreased white blood cells, anemia, and/or decreased platelets. If his signs persist and your vet does not find the cause, you could ask for a referral to an internal medicine specialist for more advanced diagnostics and treatment. Hope he recovers quickly.
