Dog limping on back leg, acting normal. Vet closed, what to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 20 lbs

My dog is limping on his back leg. He was fine all day but I noticed he started limping he's acting like himself barking, playing. The vet is closed I don't know what to do , I don't want to see him in pain. He's 10 months old

Poor Lucky! He may have strained a ligament or pulled a muscle. You don't have to rush into a vet right away, you can try resting him at home first to see if that helps. Keep him as quiet as possible for the next 48-72 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If after this time he is still limping, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. You can always take him in Monday if you are concerned, as he may benefit from pain medication. Do not give Lucky any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
