Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 8 months old

Hi there, my four year old female cat has just started (today) struggling to urinate, and keeps trying but only a very small amount is coming out and she's peeing around her litter box. There is no trace of blood, and she isn't meowing in pain etc.

Poor Megz! She could have a urinary tract infection or feline lower urinary tract disease. The best thing would be to have your vet do a urinalysis to look for an infection and crystals in her urine. Your vet can then prescribe medications to help treat. She may need an antibiotic or an anti-inflammatory. Hope she feels better soon.
