My dog is itching his chin and eye with fur loss. What can I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old | 60 lbs

My Black Labrador is 3 and has started to itch his chin and one eye quite a lot.No discharge from his eye but slight fur loss.Would you recommend a treatment please.If possible non prescription.Would be grateful thankyou.

You can check his ears for mites and his skin for any fleas. They seek flea and ear mite medicine over the counter. If there are any scabs or sites, then you can bathe him weekly in a medicated shampoo and apply neosporin or cortisone cream to the areas without getting it in the eye to provide relief and dry the sores. If this does it help then you will have to take him to the vet for further testing and prescription medication.
